What types of credit cards pays the customer for using the card?
Question by kiwi753: What types of credit cards pays the customer for using the card?
Can you please include the types of cards that a 19- year- old can get. What I mean is, some credit cards are difficult to receive based on age etc. I have a credit card and I dont like that company and I am about to actually close the account, but I want another credit card..

Speaking from experience, there are quite a few of credit cards that offer money back… I’m just not exactly sure if companies have varying names for these types of credit cards. The card I have is from Citi Bank and the card is called “Citi Dividends.” The way mine works is that for each $ 100 that I charge I get $ 1 back. It isn’t much, but there is no annual fee for this card either. Also, after the “dividends” is up to $ 50, you can call or go on their website to request that a check be cut. So, they’ll cut you a check that you’ll receive within a week or 2 for exactly $ 50… No taxes taken out or anything. =) Hope that helps!
What do you think? Answer below!
Credit Cards that reward you – are going to charge a very high interest rate. Think about it. They are out to MAKE money. The reward is SO small and the interest is so big, they are counting on you to be distracted by “money back” “shiney stuff” to get you hooked.
Don’t fall for it.
You want a cash rewards credit card. I don’t think your age matters, it’s your credit history that the companies will consider. Try this list of cards, I have the first one listed.

If you’re a student…lots of credit card companies have cards geared specifically for students and have the “cashback” feature you’re looking for….other than that most card companies don’t just go on credit history not age as it’s illegal to discriminate because of age…if you have enough established credit and a variety helps not just revolving (credit cards) and it’s in good standing your age shouldn’t be a problem with any card…
As the previous answerer said I too have the Citibank Dividends cards and it has the cashback feature….I would also recommend Citibank to try the student card if that applies to you….go to http://www.citicards.com they have a huge selection of cards to choose from that have more than one perk!!
