Don’t you think it is time to find another job after FOUR years.
She will not go to jail but finding a job or housing may be tough.
It could very well affect her getting a job if a credit report is pulled by the potential employer.

She wont go to jail but she should claim chapter 7 and get a lawyer soon. Also she needs to get some sort of job.
She won’t be going to jail. However, she will have a hard time finding an apartment or getting any type of credit. Her best bet is to find a job so she can fix her credit. She would be better off moving to another state. I know jobs are plentiful in Texas right now. Her cost of living would be less than it is in California.
Good Luck
No, she won’t go to jail. It won’t affect her job. She needs to call the people she owes money to, and work out a payment. Or, if she waits long enough, it will simply drop off her credit. I had awful credit, and have never had a problem finding a place to live. Stay away from large apartment buildings, as they usually run credit checks. Concentrate on smaller, privately owned buildings.
