Do Companies that give bad credit personal loans allowed to ask for a couple months payment up front?
Question by thinline: Do Companies that give bad credit personal loans allowed to ask for a couple months payment up front?
I applied for a bad credit perosnal loan online. A company called Birchmount Lending called stating i was approved for 5000.00, with monthyl payments of 224.54 for 2 years. But since my credit wasnt the best i would have to give them 4 payments upfront. Tell me what you think

I think you need to tell them you’re not interested. Your interest rate will be so high. Legitimate loan companies don’t ask for money up front.

You are definitely not interested. This is an advance fee loan scam!
Sounds like the same scam run by a company by the name of Fremont Lending. Did you happen to speak to someone by the name of Edward Field? This company will take the fee and call you back saying the lender backed out of the loan but they found another lender that will take up your loan for an additional fee.
These companies take advantage of people all of the time. I know of six people who were scammed and they could not get their money back.
I know of a company.
50-55 percent of people who apply are approved. There are no upfront fees involved, don’t pay upfront fees.

My daughter in law just got scammed by these people today. She gave them $ 800.00 to get a $ 5000.00 loan. The Website was not assessible after that. She reported them to the police, but since she wired them the money, so there is no way to trace the transaction. Does anyone have any ideas how to get her money back???
Scam stay far away they will take your money and you will never get your loan!!!!
No lender asks for payments up front. This is a scam!!!!!! and they are scammers!!!. Would you give someone $ 5000 who you dont know that has bad credit and you know what bad credit means (YOU DON”T PAY YOUR BILLS). They get the payments upfront and you get NO LOAN and I bet they have a yahoo, gmail, live mail address.
There are 2 very obvious things wrong with this offer first no legit company asks for money up front the other is for your payments to be that low for 24 months your interest rate would have to be around 6%, now think about it doe’s that sound like a bad credit interest rate?
It’s a scam.
It is a SCAM.
It is a variation of the old “Advance Fee Scam”.
They promise you something (in your case a loan) if you pay a fee in advance. The fact that they have absolutely no intention of giving you the loan is something that they don’t tell you.
“Birchmount Lending” is probably a 17 year old kid sitting in an internet cafe in Lagos, Nigeria.
