They should be agreeable to a reduced monthly repayment as at least they are receiving something towards paying off the debt. If you have any problems, contact the Citizens Advice Bureau who will help you in negotiating with your bank.

What is the easiest personal loan to get?
Question by : What is the easiest personal loan to get?
Im trying to get a fast personal loan, what is the best company to go with if you have bad or low credit?
Best answer:
Answer by Use Your Noodle
None
Personal loans are hard enough to obtain for those who have decent credit.
If you have poor or no credit the best you can hope for would be a payday loan. For that, you would need a checking account and paycheck stubs.

Are there any payday loans or emergency loan companies that will help people in the Military Reserves?
Question by Dawn L: Are there any payday loans or emergency loan companies that will help people in the Military Reserves?
We are desperately waiting for a re-enlistment bonus we are expecting but in the meantime need a quick loan to get us by for somethings that have come up. Payday loans dont seem to help those in the military anymore and I know payday loans are not a good idea but we also know we will only use this until the bonus comes thru . Anyone know where we can get a quick guaranteed loan for personnel in the reserves?

I wouldn’t do this. Why spend unnecessary? You are betting on receiving something that has yet to come. What would happen if something goes wrong for you? This is like writing a check and not having enough money in your account to cover it.

What happens if someone took out a payday loan in my name?
Question by Candace: What happens if someone took out a payday loan in my name?
I’m going through a nasty divorce that has been dragging on for almost a year. A couple of days ago, both my brother and sister got phone calls from someone claiming to be a collection agency for a payday loan company saying that I had taken a payday loan and failed to pay on it. I have never taken a payday loan and my attorney cannot take action until I have something in writing. What can I do?

Answer by Jason Smith
It does not sound like an actual collection company, (actual collection companies can’t state they are calling because of an unpaid debt unless they are talking to the lendee… fdcpa guidelines), don’t know what it is but it sounds fishy. If you do talk to this person DO NOT give out any personal information, and inform family/friends not to give out theirs. Given that you are going through a divorce my best guess (and it is only that), is that it is a private investigator from your former signifigant other. Best of luck.

What is predatory? A short term payday loan that charges you a fee of $ 15 to $ 25 per $ 100 loaned for two weeks or a $ 35 NSF and daily overdrafts that can cause more NSF fees from a bank?
You needed a loan that apparently you were were unable to get from your bank and now you want to forgo paying it back by placing a stop payment on the check. You received a service for a fee and stopping the check for false reasons is fraud.
Depending on who you received your loan with, they could cause you a lot of grief. If they are reputable then you should call them to work out a payment plan (not a rollover option). No lending institution wants a loan to default.
Good luck
